Birthplace of the Ryder Cup
Came Down Golf Club was founded in 1896, and boasts an excellent golfing challenge, suitable for all skill levels. The course sits on chalk downland and offers stunning 360 degree views to locations such as Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester, Isle of Wight, Maiden Castle and more. The current layout was designed by HS Colt of Muirfield, Royal Lytham, Pine Valley, St Andrews, Wentworth and Sunningdale fame. We are a very friendly club and visitors are more than welcome to come and sample our hospitality. For a round of golf in Dorset, there's nowhere better than Came Down.

Our Pro Shop
Nick Rodgers, our professional, runs a well stocked shop and provides a full club repair service. The pro shop caters for your every golfing need. Nick is a member of the major Alliance buying group, which means that low prices are guaranteed.
Lessons at Came Down Golf Club
Lessons are available to both members and non members. We now have a new computerised teaching system, which is the same system used by Sky Sports to analyse golf swings and allows your swing to be compared to those of the world's best players.
