This is the Risk Assessment carried out for Came Down Golf Club prior to reopening the lounge area on August 24th 2020


All visitors MUST observe the following guidelines when coming to Came Down Golf Club 

To visit Came Down GC:

1, You must not be in self-isolation or required to shield by the Government.

2, You must not be displaying any COVID-19 symptoms. If you are, please stay at home.

Tee Booking

  • You MUST have pre-booked a tee time, please don’t turn up on-spec
  • Visitor tee times will be bookable up to 7 days in advance
  • Tee times can be booked online through our website, or by phoning the pro shop on 01305 812670
  • All names must be provided when making a booking, this is essential for ‘test and trace’ purposes
  • Visitor tee times will be available between 9.00 am – 5.30 pm

On Arrival

  • Shoes should be changed in the car park – the changing rooms are currently not in use
  • Please report to the pro shop and register your arrival
  • One person at a time in the pro shop
  • If the pro shop is busy, please queue alongside the window, at 2 metre intervals, to keep the exit route from the men’s changing room clear
  • Please use the hand sanitiser, located outside the pro shop, before entering


  • The lounge and kitchen/bar area will be reopening on Monday 24th August, please follow the guidelines at the entrance to this area
  • The showers and changing area will not be not be in use
  • There will be a one-way system for the clubhouse. Enter through the main front door, use the toilets if necessary, exit through the changing room door (men), or the rear fire door (ladies)
  • All doors, where possible, will be propped open

Before Your Round

  • Before your tee time you may use the nets, putting green and chipping greens to warm up. Please observe social distancing when using these areas
  • Head to the 1st tee just prior to your start time

On The Course

  • Play will be from the yellow tees (men) and red tees (ladies)
  • Flags must be left in at all times
  • Holes will have flag lifters, simply raise the disc with your putter head and retrieve your ball
  • There will be no rakes, please smooth areas with your foot or clubhead as best you can. Relief from an un-raked area of a bunker will be available, without penalty, as per the temporary local rule
  • Ball washers and drinking fountains will be out of use
  • Maintain social distancing during your rounds – tees, greens, lost balls are the key areas to remember
  • Pace of play will be very important to ensure correct spacing is kept between groups. Please keep up with the group in front, if this means picking balls up and missing parts of holes then please do so
  • The air compressor for shoe cleaning will be turned off
  • Don’t shake hands at the end of your round and don’t congregate. Players should leave the club promptly once their round has finished

Buggy Use

  • Hire buggies will be solo use only (the only exception will be if members of the same household are sharing a buggy)
  • Buggies will need to be pre-booked via the pro shop (01305) 812670
  • All buggies will be appropriately cleaned after each use
