At Came Down Golf Club, the fairways are only part of the story. While our 18-hole downland course offers a rewarding challenge, it’s the clubhouse that truly brings the club to life. With panoramic views over Dorchester and the surrounding countryside, the clubhouse provides an idyllic spot to relax, watch the sun set and enjoy the atmosphere, whether you’ve just finished a round or are popping in to socialise.
A Hub for Socialising and Community
Our clubhouse is the beating heart of the club, where friends, families and colleagues often gather to catch up, share stories and make new golf buddies (or rivals)! Events, quizzes and social nights provide the ideal opportunity to meet others and enjoy some fun outside the game.
It’s a space designed for connection, conversation and community, and it’s open to everyone – you don’t need to be a member or even play golf to visit. From casual coffee breaks to hearty meals and lively events, it’s a place to unwind, enjoy good company and make the most of the beautiful surroundings.
We Have a New Menu!
James and Nina, our clubhouse managers, focus is on providing high-quality, delicious food at affordable prices and ensuring a welcoming experience for all.
Even if you’re just stopping by for a bite, there’s plenty to try on our new golf themed menu. Highlights include flavour-packed Bunker Baguettes, Big Swing Burgers and The Putter’s Pick Pizzas.
We run a fully licensed bar serving draught beers, a tempting wine list and a range of non-alcoholic drinks. The catering is run in-house, allowing us to maintain high standards and ensures fresh, locally sourced ingredients are used. Whether you’re after a light lunch, a snack between holes or a more substantial meal, the clubhouse offers something for everyone.
The terrace is ideal for casual dining, with stunning views over Dorchester and the countryside. Watch the sun sink behind the hills while enjoying a drink or a meal and take in the peaceful surroundings.
Opening Hours Winter 2025
Bar 10.00 - 17.00 (last orders at 17.00 then 30 mins drinking up time)
Kitchen 10:00 - 16:00
Clubhouse 07.00 - 17.00 (on wet days if no-one is about the building may close earlier)
The bar/kitchen hours are our core times and will be extended on certain days.
